In his concerted efforts to give fillip to primary Education in Kosofe local government, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of the Council , has visited all the 18 public primary schools in Kosofe Local Government Area, convened a crucial meeting on Wednesday with headteachers from public primary schools and vocational centres across the local government area. The raison detre for the deliberation was to fashion out a master plan aimed at addressing the challenges in the public primary schools and proffer solution which includes infrastructural development and welfare packages for teaching and non-teaching staff including the pupils.
At the interactive meeting, Ogunlewe unveiled plans for a comprehensive welfare package designed to benefit the staff and pupils in Kosofe’s 18 public primary schools.
“Our administration recognises the pivotal role of primary education in shaping the future of our community,” Ogunlewe stated. “These commitments reflect our dedication to creating a conducive environment for learning and teaching in Kosofe.”
The meeting was attended by key education officials and stakeholder which included Mr Babatunde Soneye, the Education Secretary of Kosofe Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) and Mr Nasiru Shamsideen, Head of Department for Education and Library Services. Their presence signifies the collaborative approach being taken to address educational challenges in Kosofe.
The chairman assured attendees that implementation plans would be swiftly designed and developed, with regular updates to be provided to all stakeholders. This proactive approach signals a new chapter in Kosofe’s educational development.
