“l am not in competition with any local government, l enjoy doing what l am doing, to better the life of the good people of Kosofe local government”. This remark by the Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe underscores the passion and the enthusiasm of the youthful Kosofe helmsman has invested in his glittering performances of the past three years.
While rolling out his achievements during the press briefing commemorating the celebration of 3rd year in office, Ogunlewe in a thumb- chesting tone averred that, his administration at the onset of taking over the rein of Administration in July 2021, promised to improve the lives of the good people of Kosofe by investing on infrastructures, Health, Education, Environment, youth and elders empowerment. “To God be the glory, we’ve been able to achieve 80% of what we set as our political agenda and objectives,” he said.
“The  infrastructural development initiatives, which we tagged “Kosofe works ”  have been accorded top priority in our developmental agenda. By that, critical areas have being mapped out and works are seriously ongoing too” he added further .
The Kosofe boss have so far constructed a total of 30 roads across all the seven wards of the local government,
11 of which are expected as the tenure winds up . These roads are in Mende , Anthony, Oworonshoki, Gbagada, Ifako and other communities. Some of the roads are at Abioye street, Alade Street, Atiba Osborne Street and Odugbesan Avenue. 

At Anthony Village there are Adebayo Mokuolu Street, Deji Odunuga Street, Mudi Lane, Alade Lawal Street.
Ifako-Gbagada have Ara-orin Street, Julius Kadiri Street,
Ibrahim Onashokun Street (on going), Ilawe Street  (on going).
Ojota has Abayomi Odubela Street, Alhaji Amoo Street, Niyi Ogunleye Street, Musa Adewokun, Rialto Close and
Roju Avenue,
Ogudu has Adepitan Street,
Ajoke Ogunlewe Street, Araromi Street,Idowu Dada Street, Frederic Eze-Nwosu Street, Epetedo Street ( ongoing),
Taiwo Lane (on going).
Oworo I & II have Awanatu Street, Baale Close and Idowu Dada Street.

Hon. Ogunlewe added that Education formed the cornerstone of his Administration, and that was
why he laid so much emphasis in enhancing the standard of Education by providing conducive learning environment and educational advancement tools to  encourage adult literacy. His  administration have provided the  programmes and projects through the Educational support Initiatives, this includes Yearly Distribution of 200  GCE Forms since 2021 till date.-Yearly Distribution of 1,000 JAMB Forms since 2021 since 2021 hitherto, four Weeks Free tutorial classes for GCE Beneficiaries, four Weeks Free tutorial Classes for JAMB beneficiaries. Adult Literacy Advocacy Programme, Annual Spelling Bee Competition.
Hon Ogunlewe added that a newly renovated block of one story Classrooms at Mosafejo  Primary School would be commissioned soon.

  On the sphere of Health care services, Hon Ogunlewe  Administration has provided good and accessible healthcare delivery, he code-named ‘Kosofe cares’ which the residents would access to free of charge complemented with purchasing of Ambulance
which the people can call for emergency.
In addition, Quarterly Polio Vaccinations are also given to the residents of Kosofe Local Government an health initiative aimed at preventing illness amongst babies.

Barrister Ogunlewe equally established food banks that would be as food palliatives to the people of Kosofe.

Speaking on the security details of the Council, he said the council held periodic meetings with all the security personnel in the council to forestall incidence of crime. He added that the Council have bankrolled some security apparatus and vehicles being used by security agents as patrol vehicles, adding futher that the council have strived hard in reducing the cultism drastically in the council.

He assured the people of kosofe a better representation and more dividends of democracy as he seeks his tenure renewal in 2025 promising to continue to accede to people’s requests, reminding them of their sacred duty of paying their rates and taxes, since this is the impetus that would makes them provide all they intend to do .
