The Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe has debunked as untrue, a viral social media campaign that he would forgo his Kosofe Local government Chairmanship Position to contest for Kosofe Constituency 1 seat at the Lagos State House of Assembly in the forth coming 2027 general elections.
In a swift rejoinder signed on behalf of the Council’s boss by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Oluwole Labia Obisanya, it states with firmness that the news probably emanated from fifth columnist, not from the Council.
Said he,
“We wish to state unequivocally that this is false”.the press statement debunked the false news.
” Whilst we are deeply touched by the confidence our constituents continue to repose in our Executive Chairman – a confidence he has richly earned – Barrister. Ogunlewe was re-elected into office less than a year ago and remains firmly focused on completing his mandate with the dedication and empathy that has defined his tenure. His immediate priorities are delivering on his obligations to the people of Kosofe and supporting the re-election of Mr. President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
We warmly appreciate the love and goodwill but respectfully implore the public to discontinue the circulation of this narrative, as it is misleading and potentially distracting to our teeming supporters”,he said.
