The effervescent Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe has come up with a measure aimed at finding a lasting solution to the perennial flood challenges affecting the residents of some communities within his local government.

The Council’s boss convened a crucial meeting with community stakeholders in Oworonsoki and Ifako areas of the council last Saturday. The primary focus of this gathering was to develop effective strategies on mitigating flooding issues during the impending rainy season.

In a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Mr. Oluwole Obisanya-Labia, the meeting brought together a diverse group of community representatives, including members of Community Development Associations (CDAs) and Community Development Committees (CDCs), traditional rulers, and leaders from market and traders’ associations. The presence of HRM Oba Saliu Babatunde Saliu, the Oloworo of Oworonsoki kingdom, underscored the significance of the event.

This collaborative approach highlights the local government’s commitment to inclusive governance and community-driven solutions. By engaging directly with those most affected by seasonal flooding, Barrister Ogunlewe aims to implement targeted and effective measures to safeguard residents and businesses in the flood-prone areas of the council.
