The effervescent Chairman of Kosofe local government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe was given an untainted scorecard of excellence by the visiting members of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development for his exemplary leadership and judicious use of public resources.
During their oversight assignment and visit to the council secretariat, the delegation, led by Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon who represents Kosofe Constituency 1, praised Ogunlewe’s transformative initiatives over the past three years. The Committee members expressed admiration for the council’s myriad achievements, including numerous infrastructural projects, provision of transformers, and installation of boreholes across the seven wards.
Ogunlewe detailed the council’s comprehensive programmes, covering a free shuttle bus service, accessible healthcare, educational support through free JAMB and GCE forms, and a food bank catering for over 5,000 households monthly.
The LAHA committee which included Hon. Kehinde Joseph of Alimosho constituency 02, Hon. Jubril Abdul-Kareem of Agege Constituency 02, Hon. Orekoya Abiodun Abimbola of Somolu constituency 01, Hon. Apata Samuel Olu of Somolu constituency 02 and Hon. Rasheed Shabi of Lagos Mainland constituency 02 emphasised the importance of transparency and accountability in resource management, encouraging further improvements.
ln a press release signed and made available to Kosofe News by the Chairman’s Spokesman, Comrade Oluwole Obisanya-Labia, it stated that the endorsement underscores Barrister Ogunlewe’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Kosofe residents, cementing his administration’s reputation for effective governance and community service.
