As a way of harmonizing the frontier of religious issue, security of life and community development generally, the Executive Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government Council, Hon. Prince Adedayo Ladega had an important discussion with the visiting Chief imam of Ikorodu Central mosque and the Grand Chief imam of Ikorodu division, Fahdilat Sheik, Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowo-Oribi who paid him courtesy visit on Friday 16th January, 2026 at the Council Secretariat.

The Cleric in his remarks explained to the Council’s Chairman the importance of religious harmony, community development, security matters, and the need to upgrade facilities at the Ikorodu Central Mosque.

Speaking further, the Chief Imam highlighted the importance of collaboration between government and religious institutions in promoting peace and social cohesion.

In a Press release made available to Universal News and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Comrade Akeem Mustapha, Hon.Ladega commended the religious leaders for their role in fostering peace and shared insights into his administration’s planned developmental initiatives under the SEED Agenda, assuring that the concern raised by the religious leader would receive prompt attention.

In fulfilment of his pledge, the Chairman observed the Friday Jumu’ah prayer at the Central Mosque and, immediately along with the Chief Imam and other mosque leaders, jointly inspected the facilities earmarked for upgrading.

The visit ended with prayers for continued peace, unity, and progress in Ikorodu Local Government.
