In order to give succour and duly appreciate kosofo ulamas during this holy month of Ramadan, the Renewed Hope Initiative of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu via Kosofe Local Government have distributed Ramadan food palliatives to Members of the League of Imams and Alfas within the Local government council area.<\/p>\n
The Programme, held at the Local Government Secretariat, Ogudu\u2013Ojota aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose administration continues to demonstrate commitment to the welfare of Nigerians through people-oriented programs.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, stated that the food palliative was aimed at easing the burden on Muslim faithfuls as they observe the sacred month of fasting, prayer, and charity. He noted that Ramadan is a period that emphasizes compassion, generosity, and support for one another, values which the government seeks to promote through such interventions.<\/p>\n
Hon. Ogunlewe expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his continuous support for grassroots development and humanitarian initiatives, noting that the palliative distribution reflects the President\u2019s vision of inclusive governance and social support under the Renewed Hope Agenda.<\/p>\n
The Chairman also commended the religious leaders for their consistent prayers for peace, unity, and progress in Kosofe Local Government, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole. He urged them to continue to use their platforms to promote harmony and moral values within the society.<\/p>\n
In his response, the Chief Imam of Kosofe, Sheik Modiu Oludegun expressed his profound gratitude on behalf of the league of Imams and other Ulamas to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe for the thoughtful gesture. They described the initiative as timely and impactful, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
