{"id":771,"date":"2025-12-30T01:05:17","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T00:05:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kosofenews.com.ng\/?p=771"},"modified":"2025-12-30T01:05:17","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T00:05:17","slug":"n100-million-kosofe-empowerment-scheme-sails-to-final-phase-as-250-youths-applaud-moyo-ogunlewe-for-n25-million-help","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kosofenews.com.ng\/index.php\/2025\/12\/30\/n100-million-kosofe-empowerment-scheme-sails-to-final-phase-as-250-youths-applaud-moyo-ogunlewe-for-n25-million-help\/","title":{"rendered":"N100 MILLION KOSOFE EMPOWERMENT SCHEME SAILS TO FINAL  PHASE.  &#8230;&#8230;As 250 Youths applaud Moyo Ogunlewe for N25 Million help."},"content":{"rendered":"<p> The assembly of youths numbering 250 who spread across  seven wards of Oworonshoki A&#038;B, Gbagada, Anthony, Mende, Ojota and Ogudu in Kosofe expressed their profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe as they received  their instant bank alerts of N100,000 each at the month long N100 Million Financial  empowerment programme bankrolled by the Council which comes to a glorious and successful end.<\/p>\n<p> The elated  youths displayed their various Android and other Phones which alerted them about the instant cash transfer.<\/p>\n<p> Expressing his gratitude to the Chairman he called &#8216;Mr Talk and do&#8217;  in the final youth empowerment programme tagged &#8220;enriching our youths, securing their future&#8221;, Prince Kehinde Omotehinse who coordinates youth empowerment programme in Kosofe and also a beneficiary who was amongst the first to receive #100,000 alert said it was unprecedented in the history of Kosofe Local Government for this kind of financial backup . He said the N100,000 would go a long way in reestablishing  some business ventures for the beneficiaries. He urged the lucky youths to invest the money wisely, adding that if they were confused of what to do with the cash, they should consult digital assistants like Google or Al, rather than resorting to drinking spree with the money. He thanked the  chairman for having the youths in his developmental agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in similar vein, Mr. Simeon Adeniran Adekanmi another beneficiary also known as SA Photo didn&#8217;t mince words as he reeled out assertively, the achievements of Moyo Ogunlewe. &#8220;He has not only  accomplished what he promised people, he had overtaken his benchmark&#8221; he said,<br \/>\n &#8221; he came and in a jiffy changed the fortunes of the people both, public servants and residents of Kosofe generally welfare wise.&#8221; He added.<\/p>\n<p>This fourth phase signified the final segment of the financial assistance which began a month ago with general public, artisans\/traders, widows and the youths.<\/p>\n<p>In his keynote address, the Kosofe number one citizen, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe  represented by the erstwhile Council&#8217;s Secretary, Mr. Abdulfatai Gbadebo who apologized for the Chairman&#8217;s absence due  to another official  assignment said the month long financial empowerment has come to completion with the investment in 250 young people who are the symbols of Kosofe&#8217;s tomorrow. He reminded the youths who are the recipients of the final  largesse that the money was not a charity but a strategic investment in human capital, entrepreneurial capacity and sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the youths, he explained further, &#8220;You face unprecedented challenges, as unemployment, economic uncertainty and limited opportunities, yet you also possess unprecedented potential as creativities, innovation, digital literacy and boundless energy, so this #25 million is aimed at unlocking that potential, catalysing business ventures and creating employment&#8221;, he concluded. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier, in her welcome address, the Council&#8217;s Manager, Mrs. Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka said the importance of youth in any community can not be over -emphasized as the engine  room of productivity. She said the money being distributed to the various segments of kosofe community from 17th of November which includes the youths is like giving back to the society .<br \/>\nMrs. Otaiku-Okoka enjoined the youths to reciprocate the kind gesture.<\/p>\n<p>Hon. Olufemi Oyesile, the head of Legislative arm, saluted the Chairman for his initiative and congratulated the various people who have benefitted from the financial help. The leader  of the legislative arm debunked the rumour that the financial empowerment did not receive the approval of his arm. He said the entire legislators endorsed the programme.
